I have just added the screencaps for Jacob's Boy to the episodes' page. Jacob Willis, a sincere man - and more than just a trusted housekeeper for successful businessman, George Todd, and his youthful son, Peter - faces blackmail for an alleged murder of a prison guard on his escape from the work farm where Willis had spent his sentence for steeling a sack of potatoes over two decades ago. When the skid-row bump who blackmailed him, Hoby Shuttleworth, is found dead in a corner at The Embarcadero, and eye-witness (and fellow drinker) Hubert 'Gimp' Franklin points at Willis to be the last one who was seen with Shuttleworth, Stone and Keller need to uncover several facts Willis kept secret in order to forget the painful torture he had to take 25 years ago. After talking to Jacob, however, Mike has doubts that he could be a killer, but then he and Steve find out what the hobo knew about Jacob - and that the guard was actually well alive. Jacob, however, still believes he had killed that guard during the escape, and thinks he must either run away or face imprisonment - a torture he won't take again. His employer's young son trusts Jacob and wants to run away with him, finally leading police on Willis' trail. It's an episode about friendship, a refined man, and prejudices which almost cause the death of an innocent man. In the end, however, Jacob's live is saved and a court hearing finally earns him full rehabilitation.
We are offered a nice selection of Bay Area locations of the 1970's. It starts out at the skid-row part of The Embarcadero between Mission St. & The Embarcadero where Jacob meets Hoby Shuttleworth in a bar located in The Audiffred Building. We are then taken to the Marina Yacht Harbor where Jacob prepares the Todd family's boat for the trip they are planning. The mansion that was used as the Todd family's house is of unknown location; it was definitely filmed outside of San Francisco, but the short sequence showing the house makes it a difficult task. In contract, Jacob's apartment was identified to be located in the Western Addition on McAllister. Later on, we go back to the Waterfront where Gimp knocks on Big Frenchy's hotel room door in the 'Corona Hotel' (actually 'The Embarcadero Hotel'), and then both are struggling on Mission St., after Gimp had left "Dori's 21" (located at the corner of Mission & Steuart Sts.). This episode's climax takes us north to Cazadero, where Jacob tries to find a hideout at the Elim Grove Cottages.
Location Photos for 'Harem'
Folks,
I had to take a week off due to the kids' and grandpa's birthdays... so, sorry for the delay.
Over the past two weeks, I have made a selection of location photography for season 2 episode Harem, starring Ricky Nelson as pied-piper Billy Jeffers who leads young runaway girl to end up as his hookers. The locations page was just extended by some very nice shots covering most of this episode's filming locations, including the exact spots at Ghirardelli Square, Baker Beach, and Jeffer's house. I am still trying to capture good matches for the Union Square scene with Mike and Sarah Holt, and for the opening view of Mission Street by night. Now that the Downtown Airline Terminal is gone, I will check and see if there's anything to be done about this location as well. Until then, please enjoy the pictures added. :)

The screencaps for One Chance to Live have been added to the episodes' page. Mike and Steve are set on the murder of a pawnbroker when they are responding to a nightly emergency call. A woman has called police as she was harassed and even threatened by a stranger who obviously tried to run her over with his car. Our two cops take the lady home, with Mike being pretty convinced that Martha Howard is just a lonely maiden woman seeking for some attention, whereas Steve takes it far more seriously. While checking a lead on their murder case the next day, police receives another call from Ms. Howard which Steve responds to. To all his surprise, Martha Howard recorded a threatening call she had received just an hour ago, proving her earlier calls were not just the fantasy of a lonely old maid. During their investigation on the case, Mike and Steve have to clear up several secrets and mysteries, and Ms. Howard's discretion almost puts her life at risk. Furthermore, the suspect turns out to be quite tricky in accusing Steve of police brutality.
There are numerous locations for this episode. Martha Howard is pursued by Bobby Nelson in North Beach at night, whereas her apartment is located in the Pacific Heights district. She wants to pick up her love affair at San Francisco's Interational Airport Pier F, and has lunch with Brian Downing at Alta Mira Restaurant in Sausalito. Steve sleuths a hint in the pawnbroker murder case on Nob Hill before he gives Mike a call using a telephone booth at the northeastern corner of the California and Mason Streets intersection. Bobby Nelson's apartment is located in North Beach again, and so is the restaurant where Mrs. Downing meets Ms. Hanson in order to clear up things. We are also taken to City Hall and the Golden Gate Park. Last but not least, Bobby Nelson seeks a group of young guys hanging around in front of a coffee house on Broadway in order to provoke the brawl which gets him the wounds he "needs" for his accusations of police violence.
Location Photos for 'Bitter Wine'
The locations page was just supplemented by a couple of original filming location photography for first season's episode Bitter Wine, starring Paul Michael Glaser as former St. Quentin inmate Jason Kampacalas. While this episode offers a comparably short list of filming locations, I guess the ones shown are quite interesting.
I also added two more actual location photos for Betrayed, starring Martin Sheen as stock-exchange broker Dean Knox. These include the house of his girl friend in Cow Hollow as well as the location of another suspect's apartment on Potrero Hill.
Enjoy! :)

I have just added the screencaps for I Ain't Marchin' Anymore to the episodes' page. Steve goes undercover as a draft dodger after Bob Zahn, a former US Marine and AWOL of the Vietnam War, is found murdered just hours after he had given his parents a call. He soon gets in touch with a group of deserters and their head, Ron Harris, who owns some acres of land about an hours aways from San Francisco. After infiltrating the group, Steve has to realize that Harris - and Vale, one of the group's unofficial leaders - are still distrustful and cautious. In the meantime, Mike gets in touch with Zahn's girl friend who is embittered of how her boy friend was treated by the government. However, she finally opens a case with letters Zahn sent her during his stay in Vietnam, detailing a decisive occurence and revealing that he was eye-witness to a murder among his own people. Almost at the same time, Steve's life is at stake after Harris and Vale discovered he was an undercover agent.
Filming locations of this episode are rather widely spread. It starts out at the corner of Post and Kearny Streets where Bob Zahn gets off the bus. He is then seen in a telephone booth across the street from his parents' house which has not been identified yet. Zahn enters the 'Medical Professional Building' in order to see Dr. Blakely at 660 Market Street, and is hit by a car and killed at a bus stop that used to be located across the street from Pier 40. Mike talks to a politician, both having a hot dog, on Polk Street in front of City Hall, walking down Civic Center Plaza. Going undercover, Steve has accomodation at Hotel Barclay located at 235 O'Farrell Street, in the meantime Mike sees the headmaster of Zahn's former high school which turns out to be Galileo High School on Russian Hill. He then drives up Potrero Hill to interview Mrs. Paulsen, Zahn's former class teacher. Steve is taken to Lime Point right under the northern end of the Golden Gate Bridge by the deserters, and then down to San Gregorino where Harris owns some acres of land. He tries to take the chance and get to a telephone booth at a gas station across the street from Peterson & Alsford General Merchandise at the intersection of La Honda & Stage Roads in San Gregorino. As a sidenote, this episode has an unusual narrator's announcement at the beginning of Act 1, stating that - on September 16th, 1974 - the President of the United States issued a proclamation that offered conditional amnesty to those who evaded the draft during the Vietnam War and to those in the military who deserted their duty while serving. Reason was the fact that this episode - which was filmed in spring of 1974 - did not air before the President's proclamation was issued, so the introduction explained that the story took place before.
