Screencaps for Ep 2.20 added
I have just added the screencaps for Inferno to the episodes' page. Two firemen are killed in a warehouse fire, one of them an old friend of Mike. Our two cops team up with Jack O'Moore, another old friend of Mike, and SFFD investigator. Their investigations indicate arson and either competition or insurance fraud, so Mike and Steve soon concentrate on the tenants who stored goods on the different warehouse levels. However, the case turns out to be obscure as all the suspects deliver good reasons for not having any benefit from setting a blaze. Another torching job in a harbour warehouse and the possessorship of allegedly 'useless machines' stored in the warehouse that burnt down first, finally lead Mike and Steve to Paul Wallick, a compulsive gambler who had obviously hired an arsonist to collect the insurance money to pay off his gambling debts. They need to hurry, however, as the arsonist threatens Wallick and his pregnant wife.
As for filming locations, the burning warehouse in the opening scene is located at 118 King Street, known as the 'Townsend Building' today and located across the street from AT&T Baseball Park. Almost everything in this part of South Beach has changed over the past 40 years, but the brickstone warehouse still stands upright. Following the fire alarm, SFFD Fire and Rescue Trucks of Stations 38 (California Street) and 43 (Moscow Street) are responding, and soon after Mike - who 'enjoys' his Chili con Carne for breakfast at adjacent Carmen's Restaurant at Pier 24 (now demolished) - joins the site of operation. Most of the subsequent fire scenes are original SFFD stock footage and actually show at least two different buildings burning (with the smoke out of the King Street warehouse used for the acting scenes being the third one). Mike and Steve visit Jack O'Moore in the former Central Fire Alarm Station building at 1003 Turk Street (recently demolished). Marty Wallick's art supply store is located downtown on Sutter Street, whereas Paul Wallick's house can be found in Balboa Terrace. The suspected contractor for the second arson is caught in the former United States Post Office at Rincon Center on Mission Street (now closed), and following the final car chase with Mike and Steve, arsonist Jason's car flips over at 20th and Wisconsin.
More ABC Press Photos added!
The media page was supplemented by another batch of five original ABC press release photos. This time, I added shots from season two episodes The Twenty-Four Karat Plague (additional shot) and Most Feared In The Jungle, plus a nice season four opener of Mike and Steve taken at the Hyde Street Pier. The batch is rounded up by a second shot from season four episode Police Buff, and season five's Child of Anger. This particular section features a total of 60 original ABC photos right now and offers a nice potpourri of the series' chronology. There's more to come from my archives but I would also like to encourage fellow fans to let me know if anyone is able and willing to provide a high-res scan of press photos he or she might have, so I can supplement the library. Just drop me a line!

Screencaps for Ep 2.19 added
I have just added the screencaps for A String of Puppets to the episodes' page. An ex-con, Harry Gates, is killed while being on the phone with Mike Stone, and an eye-witness provides an important detail concerning the get-away car. The suspect, however, delivers a perfect alibi: he was with his parole officer, Bob Mason, when Gates was killed. Interestingly enough, Gates also was one of Mason's parolees. Therefore, Mike suspects Mason to pull his ex-cons back into the business for burglaries. Due to Mason's clean slate for over 20 years as parole officer, Mike's supervisor as well as the chief of parole office are anything but pleased with Mike's suggestion: to channel Steve as an ex-con into the group of Mason's guys - but Captain Olsen finally approves the operation. Steve gets in touch with Mason and is soon under observation. In the meantime, our cop tries to get more information on what happened by chatting and - somehow unintentionally - flirting with Gates' former girl-friend, nightclub singer Jackie Sterling. Little does Jackie know that Harry put a locker key in her coat's pocket the night he was killed. Everythings seems to be inscrutable until another ex-con of Mason's, Ben Driscoll, is injured in the car wash facility they are all working for. With Jackie finding the locker key and picking up the trumpet suitcase Harry deposited for her, and with Mason's guys involving Steve in another burglary, things are gaining momentum. However, Jackie still things Mason just wants to help his parolees, so she makes a premature and fatal call.
There's lots of filming locations in this episode. It starts out at the then-famous 'Yellow Brick Road' nightclub in North Beach, where Jackie Sterling performs at night. Mike meets Mason under the southern end of Golden Gate Bridge where the latter talks to one of his parolees. Mike is waiting for Steve - who is just returning from Lake Tahoe - in front of Steve's apartment at 287 Union Street, and Mason takes our undercover cop to a car wash facility at 10th and Market (now demolished). After talking to Jackie and playing trumpet with her band (more or less), he walks her home to her apartment at 795 Burnett Ave, in Twin Peaks district. Soon after, Tubbs picks up Steve at Bay and Powell (we can see former Caesar's Restaurant in background which was recently closed), and the burglarly takes place in a jewelry store on Columbus Ave. In the meantime, Jackie finds the locker key Harry had put into her coat, and later on she empties a lockbox inside 3rd & Townsend Station of the Southern Pacific Railway (demolished). Towards the episode's climax, Tubbs is shot by Mason in his apartment at 9th and Diamond, before Mason 'takes care' of Jackie and, finally, is shot by Steve on the street in front of Jackie's aparment.
Filming Locations identified!
Fellow fans Phillip Meza and Lisa Church helped to identify two of previously unidentified filming locations for thestreetsofsanfrancisco.net
First was season one episode The Takers. Big part of this episode was filmed in a 'swinging' apartment complex in Burlingame. The suspect, a jewelry salesman, lives in a house which is located in a rather small neighbourhood. This was a really tough ID task since much of the surroundings looked like Daly City or something, particularly that 'Serramonte' sign shown in background when the suspect tries to get away in his car. Thanks to a priceless hint provided by Phillip Meza - who lived south of San Francisco back then - pointing at the Outer Mission of San Francisco, I was finally able to find the location: it's the corner of Mission St and Huron Ave in the far southwestern part of Outer Mission.
Second was season two episode The Stamp of Death. A richman is killed and a rare and priceless stamp is stolen. His mansion (crime scene) seems to be located somewhere around Nob Hill as there was quite much filming on Nob Hill (and The Tenderloin) in this episode. Lisa Church from San Francisco identified it to be at 2222 Broadway.

Screencaps for Ep 2.18 added
I have just added the screencaps for Crossfire to the episodes' page. Following a shooting at the University's campus, in which a female student, Penny Dunnigan, suffers a flesh wound in the arm and a renowned professor is killed, Stone and Keller are investigating what initially seems to be the act of a madman. However, their investigations uncover a different perspective when they learn the killed professor has had an affair with the wounded female student, and everything seems to be anything but coincidental. While the wealthy widow, Mrs. Shaninger, quite convincingly assures she did not know anything about her husband's alternate life (which is supported by her sister-in-law), something seems to be misleading. Another aspect turns up when Peggy reveals that the had just broken up with the professor and was going to marry a P.O.W. out of Vietnam who is currently treated in a San Diego military hospital. Balistics find out that the assassin used an M-16 military rifle, so Steve is going to San Diego in order to check the facts on Peggy's fiancé, Marine Corps Captain Alan Melder. Back from southern California, Steve knows they can scratch Melder from their list. With another shooting at the campus and a certain detail Mike remembers after Steve had reported of his first talk to Mrs. Shaninger, their investigations are concentrating on the widow who - as it turns out - has contracted a psychic unstable patient who used to see the professor about his mental illness and is now on the run.
Filming for this episode centers on quite a few locations. The shootings take place at the University of San Francisco campus which is located on Fulton Street. The secret Shaninger/Dunnigan apartment (where Peggy is finally held under police observation) is the condos complex at 2200 Pacific Avenue. Mike and Steve are leaving the Coroner's Office at the SFPD headquarters on Bryant Street, whereas the alleged San Diego Military Hospital scenes are actually showing the Laguna Honda Hospital complex. Upon Steve's return from San Diego, Mike picks him up at the Downtown Airlines Terminal that used to be located at 375 O'Farrell Street (demolished, but those familiar with the surroundings will immediately note the rental car park on the other side of the road which is still existing). The climax takes us to San Francisco International Airport, where Peggy picks up Alan Melder, and Steve finally books the sniper on the main buildings' rooftop before the latter commits suicide.
